Fareed Zakaria on the United States as an open system

Fareed Zakaria shared an interesting perspective on GPS this morning. In today's VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) environment, the US (and I would add other free-market democracies) as an open system is far better able to adapt and succeed than closed systems like China and others. See his recent article in the Washington Post.

Business Co-creation suggests the same is true for business leaders. To succeed in today's open markets, companies need to become agile, open systems, able to continually shape and adapt in a very turbulent environment.
